    Hullo fellow Wynncrafters,

Here's the problem. I'm attempting to use the Wynncraft Enhanced modpack. However, in it's "mods" folder, all of the mods show up as .zip files rather than .jar executables. Also, when I attempt to download Optifine into the mods folder, it too doesn't convert to a .jar file ...even upon extraction of the .zip file.

TL;DR - why am I only getting .zip files rather than the .jar executables that I need? (Yes, Java is installed)

Am I doing something wrong here? It's been a while since I've messed with modpacks, so your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Romzy

I'm not 100% sure about the differences between .jar and .zip files in regards to mods. The mods I have on my .minecraft folder are all .jar files, but if I recall some of those may have been .zip files that I had to extract.

Are you using Forge to run the pack? And, when you download the mods, do they come as .zip files? If so, the .jar file may be inside the .zip folder and in order to get it out you must extract the file.

Have you tried running the pack with the .zip files rather than the .jar files? It might work if Forge can load .zip files. Also, Optifine should install as a .jar file if downloaded manually (I have a 1.7.10 Optifine .jar file for a modded singleplayer world).

Those are just some ideas that might help solve your problem. If your issue still persists, please tell me and I can try to find a solution for you.
