Necro-posting?

Hey!
So lately I've seen a lot of two-month old threads that aren't closed yet, and some people are also talking about necro-posting. Basically a necro-post means that someone revives a thread after it has long been devoid of activity, possibly bringing up points that have been resolved already and causing more chaos.

Now I haven't had to deal with necro-posting in a while since necros were pretty much solved with the addition of an automated "thread lock if not active within a month". And before I get myself a warning without knowing it, I would like to ask...

Is necro-posting becoming a thing here again?
Because if so, I much preferred the anti-necro system, and I don't see why it was removed in the first place.

 

Lots of good plugins and systems were removed for some reason. Including the captcha that used to be here.

 

I think necro-posting is one of those unspoken rules or something. I think the plugins that autolocked threads broke when the forums reset.
