Naming The Rivers & Lakes Of Wynn - Community Project -

I started a project about naming the rivers of Wynn before the forums got reset and it looked like people were interested in it, so I am bringing it back. I have added lakes this time too, because they do not have names aswell.

Sadly, I did not get a backup of the thread, so I lost some of the useful comments :(

Alright, let's get started..

Some may not notice it, but rivers and lakes are a really important part of Wynn. Without them there would be less plantlife and animals, most towns would be really close to the ocean, some caves and valleys would still be stone and Wynn wouldn't look as good too. Rivers are also a nice way of travelling around Wynn for lower level players, who do not have horses.


Alright.. the river/lake names and important information will go down here! -

In the previous thread we decided that this river should be named something simple -

It connects to a lot of the other rivers and flows for a pretty long while too. It starts at the Twain mansion and ends at the ocean.
The bridge known as the "Wynn Bridge" goes over this river too.
It is also one of the biggest rivers in Wynn!

It seems that this river should recieve a name that can easly be remembered - River Wynn

Well, it starts at Twain, and goes to the ocean, so it should be something quite intresting. The River Divide? It divides the land of Wynn in two, so it makes sense. It could also be the Nivla River, since its right next to Nivla Woods and usually, you see the river first when you get out of Nivla.

 

the river flowing from the invaded barracks through the desert and into the Rymek area should be called The Desertus River, desertus meaning desert in Latin

 

The lake above the corrupted village could be called the corrupted lake.

I am SO creative

 

Lake around Corrupted village should be called Stream of insainity

 

River flowing from Almuji to Wynn River should be named
Ruta comerciante, latin for merchant Route or maybe ruiantan.

Maybe the Wynn Divide? a bit more self explanatory... and The River Divide sounds more like something dividing a river and not dividing land...
also Nivla River seems weird as it is based on in game experiences and not lore... but the idea was great
