I think the shader is too dark, I can't understand the build, can you post screens from the above?
(Maybe without shaders)

 

I love the environment, but to me, the homes weren't as good as the should've been, i would love it if you (possibly) cleared them and build some Asian styled pagodas, as i feel they would fit the terrain wonderfully.

oh ok, soo can I give you some advice?
1-the palette of terrain is a bit monotonous and without shapes
before starting a terrain do a pallette with some colors inspired by real land
2-the cherry tree with only glass
try to make a cherry tree with some palette pink and white, not only 2 blocks, and remove the leaves under this tree because it's strange to see a cherry tree [pink] with leaves under [green]
3- structures are a bit strange, try to do something more compact and try to don't make roofs so high and with few details
you can add things like tower in the roofs, towers on towers
