My horse glitched out of my inventory?

    I'm not sure what happened exactly but I was riding my horse under the Llevigar tunnel and I summoned it and then dismounted and it was gone. I went back all the way to the boat where I had arrived with F3+B so I could see highlighted items and no horse was there. It was a 30/30 Chestnut horse and I had been grinding to level it up so I could sell it and try to make it towards a white horse. I'm very confused about what happened please help.
