My Guess On The Stats Of Scarlet Veil

So, if any one of you saw the trailer, you most likely saw the Scarlet Veil and other weird item, most people seem to be focusing too much on the Mastery Tome and the new rank but aren't showing any love for the Scarlet Veil so I'll do it myself with a bit of speculation. If you were to take one look at this, this item should immediately scream Collapse based on the stats and Major ID. Just for fun, I decided to make a mock up of the item in Wynndata and here is what I think it is.

My first thoughts were what armor or accessory piece would it be? Based on the level and the name, I'm thinking this to be a helmet. Why, well the name Scarlet Veil makes me think of Black Veil a little and that item is a helmet and the level requirement for it is 52 and taking a look at any level 50's helm will show that the health given will be close to 700 to somewhat over a 1000 so the health specs do fall within that range. I could also see it potentially being leggings as they do fall in that health range at the level as well. If you analyse it a bit more, it has an attack speed bonus on it but it is only +1. Now, if I'm to guess, Scarlet Veil is meant to be use as a tier stack helmet. This, when combined with it's Major ID and the oogles of exploding on Collapse or any high explosive weapon, means you can rapidly attack mobs with a lot of damage but every hit explodes unlike exploding normally which damages mobs upon a mob's death. This means that Collapse and any other explosive weapon will become excellent at crowd control with the combination of rapid attacks, high damage, and explosions on every hit. This is all speculation but I think it is very likely that is what Scarlet Veil is for.

 

A quick mock up build with my speculated Scarlet Veil and it seems to be quite nasty. What sucks quite badly about it is your elemental def and there is no health sustain at all.

It is plausible when you think about how Wynncraft normally likes to show you how high your stats are. If you look in the trailer, you will notice that the Main Attack Damage % has 2 * right next to it but the attack speed doesn't. When those asterisks appear at is what I don't know but the 2 on the Main Attack Damage % is at least higher than 50% and the attack speed doesn't have any asterisk meaning it is lower than 50% so I can see it having a max of 2 tier attack.

 

A max of 2 on an ID is statistically impossible with how IDs roll.

 

Ok, interesting. Would it happen to have 3 tiers or 1 tier or is that being kept a secret til 1.20 releases? Another question that is probably better to ask is when is an update on item changes coming?

 

It will absolutely not have 3 tiers. It would literally be the most overpowered item in the game if it did. To give some perspective, the only items that have that much attack speed are Necrosis, which has a 105 dex req and nukes your spell and melee damage (and is also getting nerfed), Knucklebones, which literally kills you as you use it, and Virgo, which has a 190 skill point req and gives 5 HP. They wouldn't even think about giving an item 3 tiers of attack speed, a major ID, and zero skill point reqs, especially not at level 52. It would break the game in too many ways.

 

Well I guess we shall see when we get an item update thread.

it'll be way too op if it did, and not having a star doesn't mean that it isn't max, just means that there's a 70% chance for a 1-1 stat too not have a star, so it's very unlikely that it has 1-3 tier

 

Justice, I say this on every thread I see you make about items. Take a tiny bit of time and actually learn about how Wynn items work. It's far better than making threads that are just... bad.

 

Granted, but that's usually how Fabled items go. They usually have a super OP buff that gets balanced out by one or more mitigating features.

 

And were would there be such a thing if I may ask?

 

Ask around at a good time in #class_builds, join AIn discord, read the threads druser and other people make, try to have conversations with people who generally know their stuff

 

Alright thank you for pointing me in the right direction then though I won't promise that my bad item creating will stop for a while after it gets criticized more like how my builds were done.

 

lol, think about it
Centipede has negative ETA defense (not significant), 1k health, 2 tier, some ws and nullified spell damage
and it is level 80
Your Scarlet Veil has 3 tier, negative rainbow (maybe less than the -def in centi) and some melee damage and 1k health
and it is just level 52!

Now do you think that it is wayyy too op?

 

Yeah, I can see I suck at making custom items(Just look at my other suggestions) but hopefully I start to figure out how to balance them better.

 

Fabled doesn't mean that it should be too op, take a look at Necklace of 1k Storms really

 

Technically it was a legendary before it became a fabled.
