Render My Glass

Once again, I'm here, with another amazing (dank) render!

I tried to make it as much as realistic as I could. (I'm not the best)

If would look more realistic if you fixed the bottom of the glass's lip and removed the fake-looking writing.

 

I'm gonna make a v2 of the render. I'm fixing the buttom and maybe add some deaphs to the text, or just removing it.

 

You might want to increase the sample rate as well since parts of the glass are still a little fuzzy.

 

Yeah, I know, but I don't have the best graphics card, so the max I can put it without taking forever is about 600 (I'm gonna buy a new one soon™)

I agree with @RIP|captainganon You should also fix the blurry wood it's kind of too blurry. The cherry on the top would also be a realistic DOF ;)
Also the lighting looks too global --> not enough shadow density

 

Use Index of Refraction when you make a v2,
in the glass properties there should be a thing called IOR
change it to 1.5234 (that is the IOR of clear glass)

 

Oh god, I thought the round glass was an optical illusion, since it felt like it went in two ways. I had to zoom in just so I could get the madness to stop.

 

I'm right now working on a v2. I made the glass look more obvious and clear, and made the lighting better. I'm gonna replace the render once it's done rendering :).

 

Holy fuck nuggets (besides what ganon said) that doesn't look bad!
