    Hello all!

I just want to take some time to talk about myself and my current mindset so here you go.

I was born on July 13th, 1999 and I am proud to not be in the 2000's (lol). Life right now is pretty hard. I have been thinking about the old days and how much I miss being a kid. Being a kid makes me kind of jealous now that I think about it because you literally don't have anything to worry about. You believe in Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. Life was full of hope. Until I was 16, it hit me. I have a job now at a restaurant that just opened, I am going to have a drivers license before summer comes to a close, and I'm about to be a senior in high school. There is only so much time in this life and it's kind of making me paranoid.

Anyways lets get into my dream. My dream is to be a competitive gamer and get paid for being the best. I played Call of Duty and Destiny competitively and I used to be in the top 1000 of a Major League Gaming (MLG) website and top 2000 in a website for Destiny until my parents took away my gaming monitor and put it in storage. Now before my monitor was even touched, I didn't have a job, I didn't have an active life, and I didn't really do anything. My parents told me that if I balance my life out and stay active in the real world, then I could have my monitor back. I have a job now and its pretty much taking up more than half of my life right now so I was sure that would give my monitor back. Guess what? NOPE! I talked to them about it and now they want me to have a time limit on my gaming. In the first place, they said that if I got a job they wouldn't have a problem with me playing on games at any time. Regardless, my monitor is still in storage and it is preventing me from getting my practice in on Call of Duty and Destiny; I probably am going to suck as soon as I get it back. Anyway they also say that video games are an addiction and they could care less if my goal is to be #1. Readers, I would now like you to take notes because if your parents EVER tell you that your dream is an "addiction" (meaning it being an unhealthy one), they are wrong. I did some thinking and I came up with this. Striving to be a competitive gamer and making it to be one of your goals in life is not an "addiction", it is pure DEDICATION. Plus, competitive gamers get paid a lot of money, so it definitely fills up that job slot that one would need in life. My parents say that it takes no work to play a video game because you are sitting there pushing buttons (and we know that's not true). Every good video game is a mental exercise. My parents are worried about physical exercise, which isn't a problem for me because one, I'm 105 pounds, two, I have abs I just need to lift weights. Anyway back to my dream... I feel like I can't make it in the real life and this is the only thing I am good at. I hate school so much and that is something I would skip if it was ever an option. I actually like my real life job, but I know I won't like it as much as I would like a job being a competitive gamer. My parents handed me a Gameboy when I was 5 years old and ever since then, video games were just "playtime" until I got an Xbox 360 when I was 13. This decision has also made some sacrifices on my life. I have more friends on my Xbox 360 than I do in real life. I have sacrificed making friends in real life to instead make friends online. I actually prefer it to be that way because I guess I have grown to enjoy talking to friends online. I'm also an extroverted introvert so yeah. The friends that I even do have at school want to hang out over the summer but it never happens because they are either on vacation or they are indecisive pieces of shit when it comes to figuring out a time to hang out with me.

So earlier in the top paragraph I talked about time. Its been 3 months since I got my monitor taken away and I am worried that I will never get it back. I want to get noticed and have a name out there in the gamer world before I am 18 because I do not want to go to college. Anyway this is my life right now and my goal.

If you guys have any suggestions/ideas for me to help me that would be great if you could comment. Thanks.

(My name "Melted" is a Call of Duty word that competitive gamers use when they come close to losing, but win in a gun fight. Usages: "That kid just got melted!")

Another case of parents not understanding these new kinds of jobs, huh?
Well, first, I would show them PewDiePie's estimated earnings (he's not even a proffesional!)
Then show them a clip of esports on ESPN or something
    Then FaZe
I mean, you can do this in any order, but it's w/e
