youre well on your way to become a wishing star ct abuse champion
growth is useless here btw you could be using prowess or a tanky bracelet
anyway you need to convert all of the neutral away for max dps because theres a bug so use a t6 earth and then t6s of whatever powder special you like

anyway heres mine it's pretty much painmaker but with static neck. if you cant afford slayer, use storm brewer instead but rember to use water powders on armor if u do



edit: nvm we thought about it with the bois and since you havent done qira yet you also prolly cant get static neck lmao
there are at least 2 alternatives tho without mythics or li items by using clock boots or heart break
anyway your build's pretty good already, just use different powders

no i dont think so ill explain it here in detail so u can just link to this post in the future

taurus has 1625 raw melee damage. cancer has a fuckton of -% melee damage which doesnt affect raw melee but it does affect neutral damage (raw and neutral are different)
so cancer's -% affects wishing star's neutral damage, making it -315 - -700 at best. because of a bug, this is applied to the taurus' raw melee damage even though it shouldnt be

but wait, theres a way to get rid of neutral damage, thats powders. with a t6 earth and any other t6s, all of wishing star's neutral damage is converted into earth and the element of your choice. now, even though cancer makes that damage negative, it defaults to 0 instead of applying to taurus' raw melee damage

and thats about it, it's why wishing star is better than drumstick for ct usage so if youre confused figure that out as a test for yourself

 

oh, so it's not supposed to be worse, but due to how it calculates the -% melee stat into the damage output, it ends up lowering the DPS when it shouldn't? Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

thats how it's supposed to be yes. the raw melee damage shouldnt be affected by neutral damage in any way, but since it does that makes wishing star the optimal wand for ct abusage with its 3 slots

Would fixing it make cancer tier stacking viable again? No one wants that, and that's coming from an abuser who loved plague+cancer. I don't want that if it means anyone can slap cancer + anything with high raw melee like asphyxia or slayer + apoc like weapons again.

fixing it would change very few things very little in very few situations, one of them being drumstick receiving a buff that would nudge it about 50 dps above wishing star in a ct build

Nice build, although I would suggest using a weapon that does thunder damage instead (or just add 3 thunder powders), since you have negative attack for everything except thunder. I edited it a little and added t6 thunder powders to everything to show what I meant.
