Murder Mystery 3: Blood In The Study

Finally got some good inspiration for a new murder. Here you guys go.

Spoiler: Autopsy

Victim: Rayshyroth
Time of Death: 3 AM
Place of Death: Rayshyroth's personal study inside of his home.
Points of Interest regarding Rayshyroth: Covered in water, lots of small wounds and cuts, heavy blow was administered to head.
Cause of Death: Heavy blow to the head.
Points of Interest regarding the study: Evidence of a struggle, books torn apart, walls scratched, blood in several place. Looks like a mess.

Kleiner the Warrior practices Water Magic.
Kleiner the Warrior and Gustav the Mage are on bad terms.
Lopez the Mage is basically confirmed to have been practicing teleport.
Roberto of Robert passed by Carl the Archmage's place at roughly 2:30-2:45, a time close to the murder.

Spoiler: Suspect Testimonies

Kleiner the Warrior: At 3 AM, I was obviously asleep in the room I was renting from Carl the Archmage.
Gustav the Mage: At 2:30 AM, I was woken up by the sound of someone out in the hallway. I didn't think much of it at the time, so I went back to bed. I should mention that I am also renting a room from Carl the Archmage.
Lopez the Mage: I am renting a room as well from Carl the Archmage. At 2 AM I was outside practicing my Teleport spell. At around 2:30, give or take a few minutes, I saw someone going outside of Carl the Archmage's home. I took no notice of the person, since I assumed it was just Carl the Archmage going out to do something. Around fifteen minutes later, I wrapped up my practicing and went back to my room to sleep.
Carl the Archmage: I think you know that I am renting out rooms to people who come to Mage Island temporarily to study magic. By that early in the morning, I was asleep in my room. I would also like to say that Kleiner the Warrior and Gustav the Mage seemed to be under bad relations.
Roberto of Robert: I have no idea why I am being called in. Yes, I was walking the streets of Mage Island around the time of the murder, no I did not witness anything much from Carl the Archmage's home.

Kleiner, tell me... As a Warrior, what business did you have on Mage Island?

 

Roberto of Robert: Carl the Archmage and Rayshyroth are native. I'm simply a traveller.

Kleiner the Warrior: I'm here to learn more about water magic and see if I can further incorporate them into my spells.

Carl, what do you mean when you say that Kleiner and Gustav are in "bad relations?"

 

Roberto of Robert: Now that you say it, I do recall someone appearing and disappearing for a split second. What time did I return home? I believe I went home just as the sky started to lighten a bit. Probably around 5 AM, give or take.

Someone else, Phief, discovered the body. There were signs of a forced entry.

Kleiner the Warrior: Primarily water magic and typical Melee skills. I am especially good at hand-to-hand combat, if I do say so myself.
Gustav the Mage: I specialize in fire magic, but I do dabble in to other elements every now and then.
Lopez the Mage: Thunder magic. I also have some skills in assassination.
Carl the Archmage: Earth Magic. However, I still have great skill in other forms of magic.
Roberto of Robert: I do not practice magic, however I do have great fishing skills. Although, recently all I've been catching are red herrings.

[Information added]
Carl the Archmage:
Ever since the two have been in this island, they've been constantly bickering. A couple of nights ago I had to take Gustav the Mage to an emergency healer after a fight.

We can rule in that Lopez was practicing teleport at 2:00,
so it seems unlikely that he killed him,

I dont think that Carl was the murderer either, as there was forced entry,
and Carl could simply walk in with a master key or something

Robert was outside from 2:30 to 5:00

The victim died from a blow to the head and was covered in water,

This is similar to Kleiners fighting style



Lopez was practicing teleport, he did not lie

 

If there was forces entry it wasn't Lopez either. He would've teleported inside

 

Kleiner the Warrior: It's a long story, but to sum it up short, Gustav was a massive jerk to me when we were both growing up in Troms.

(Correction, Rayshyroth was not drowned. He was killed by a heavy blow to the head.)

Kleiner, whats your relationship with the victim

 

Now, everyone, let's not jump to conclusions.

Let's see... While it is true that Kleiner is an acceptable suspect, let's not forget that Mages have multiple spells. I believe the killing could have been performed by either a Warrior using his spear, then finishing off with a watery Bash, or a Mage using Ice Snake, which would explain the water and cuts, then a small Meteor, which would explain the mess in the room. Though, that does raise the question of why the murderer forced their way into the study, rather than just teleporting through.


Roberto, what did you see of the person you say you saw disappear outside, and what time would you say you saw them?

Roberto, may I ask why you were on Mage Island if you don't practice magic?

Tell me, Gustav, do you ever "dabble" in water magic? And I am I correct in saying you suck with close combat and heavy weaponry? You have no experience in the art?
