assassin is a class that you unlock when you get a total level of 60, tis differs from the other classes by having the highest damaging spells in game and by having no transportation spells whatsoever.
no idea but its not just you.
selchar is the main island, you will have to visit some islands for quests but exploring them all is a good idea, some hide nice treasure.
you get speed and jump boost buffs for a long time.

each, keep in mind low level items don't have much of a market so you might not be able to sell them at all.
