Spoiler: Kander Forest Critters

Tiontaith Beast
A cousin of lizardman, this creature was once docile small critter eater of what would become the Kander Forest. The decay has shifted the ecosystem drastically that even the reptilian become feral pack hunters that cause disappearance of lost travelers and runaway children.

Kanderweed
It was theorized that these flora was once related to the beautiful alraunes of Light Forest. The famine and disease that the decay brought have deformed these flora into wilted husk that weeps for their lost beauty.

Werewolf
The forest is a place that even the government would shine their eyes away, this causes many dark mages to run wild in these regions. This results in an innocent being taken into little experimentation that turns them into a beast that would be hunted by the locals out of fear.

Kandrek Spiritbinder
A mysterious entity that is often found around graveyards. It’s unknown if these alien entities originate in Gavel but the sighting only occurs after the decay came. They are capable of raising the spirit of the dead and anchoring them to the plane of physicality for unknown purposes.

Tueurseries Galois
Blessed spirits that were created from unknown circumstances but many theorize are involved by the locals’ religious practice. Their voices can be heard through the forest and it soothes the restless spirits that reside within it. While it appears benevolent, it often mistakes the living as also restless spirits and seeks to free them.

Naissant and Series Chahuts
Restless spirits that have been raised by various dark entities that wander the forest. These souls are agitated that yearn for rest that they were promised after death. They appear in various shapes even including shattered forms that further agonize the spirit.

Spoiler: Light Forest Critters

Satyrs are sapient species that once lived alongside elves in the area that would become Dark Forest and Kander Forest. Most of their population would die off due to the decay and now what was left are living alongside the people of Efilim in an attempt to take refuge.

Nymphs are large flightless mosquitoes that have a diverse range of colors and drink nectar from floras. During mating season, they gather around ponds and their calls resemble that of feminine singing. Due to this any trespassers lure by the singing would get attack for trespassing the mating of nymphs.

Dryads are large trees that gain its nutrients by its unique roots. Its root branches and forms into a humanoid-like appearance capable of walking underground to gather nutrients to feed the tree. They also act as defense against any intruders that seek the tree’s bulbs that also grow underground for food.

Giant Crusher Mantises are the apex predator of the Light Forest. They have the ability to hide in plain sight to allow for ambush attacks even in the brightness of the forest. They are known to be able to strike their club-like arms in rapid success, hard enough to crush bones.

Mandragoras are odd floras that burrow in the ground of Light Forest. Once forcefully unroot, it will let out a cry that will confuse nearby creature’s psyche. Though it prove to be a useful ingredient for various purposes such as alchemy.

Alraunes are spirit with appearance resemble of a humanoid shape emerge from flowers. The spirit capable of communicating and often speak with the people of Efilim. They love to tend to their garden that they viciously defend against any intruders.

Spoiler: Aldorei Critters

Aldorei Paladin
Paladins of Aldorei are protectors of temples and ritual sites in the citadel. They have been trained since youth to master the art of defensive combat to allow them to disarm and dispatch opposition without any use of violence to follow the Light’s dogma.

Aldorei Priest
Priests of Aldorei are highly devoted elves to the way of the light and serve as an example to follow by other elves in the citadel. They orchestrate many ceremony and rituals in every day to ensure the Light’s belief are enforce within the people of Aldorei.

Aldorei Sentinel
The Sentinel of Aldorei comes in many shapes and forms, stationary or mobile. Commonly they all are tree construct imbued with fairies to strengthen as guardians of Aldorei’s gate to prevent any intruders from stepping into sacred ground.
