Mini Map Use

OK, I know that mini maps are allowed to be used for mapping purposes and that mob radar must be turned off. It is also my understanding that radar cannot be on, whatsoever, even for locating other players, however, a question has arisen concerning this point. So, I would like to get a consensus of opinions from the mods.

When using any mini map, are we allowed to use the radar to locate other players?

 

We do not permit use of minimaps to locate any entities; mobs and players.

So if i we're to make a Voxelmap(doesn't have radar) and way point the npc's and significant locations, would this be ok or no, I was planning on making this in the future but its better to ask and not waste the time if i cant. (Making this for all the people who suck at navigation.)

 

If you make a VoxelMap table that shows where the NPCs are, by name, and make that available, there should be nothing wrong with it, as long as radar is off. The table or map doesn't need radar to find points that it already knows.

HOW you make the table or map is a different story; don't use the radar to find the NPCs.

 

Can we teleport to waypoints?

 

Nope, if you try it just says you don't have permission.
