Any Class Messing Around With Some Of The New Items + My Opinions On Them

note: the items i went through and analyzed were items that appeared interesting to me, and/or seemed like they could have some sort of unique role in the meta. because of that, i'm not going over items like puff, rubber (mostly just elem def slap), leviathan, starglass (boringish, obvious usage) and others.

rekkr is quite a powerful armor piece. however, even with its hp and damaging stats, it isn't really op or anything at all. its high reqs mostly render it useless for any type of spell spam build. it fits very nicely in melee builds, standing as a tankier, although less damaging substitution to chestplate of ineptitude.

accelerator, is an extremely powerful tier boost option. with a relatively high 3.5k hp, along with no reqs and high sp bonus, it's perhaps one of the strongest and most flexible tier boost items in the game. its elemental defenses are somewhat minor, and can be fixed without too much trouble.

while it is fairly offputting at first glance, it is a very strong item. in most cases, it will not cause any loss of melee dps, and has powerful spell damage bonus. the high reqs, -1 tier, and hpr is quite offputting, but overall isn't a problem in the right build. it proves to be a worthy option for an earth-thunder hybrid build, but it's hard to use in most other situations.

asphyxia is a fairly specific option. there are two main ways i like to go about fixing the defenses, that being gales freedom or bpa. ot offers a very high amount of damage, but results in needing to use a slot purely to compensate for the damage. overall, it balances out quite nicely, but really only works well in a couple of combos.

a powerful option that i expect to go relatively unused mostly because of the -mana regen, this item offers a large amount of thunder damage, along with some nice melee % and raw. relatively flexible, it carries out a hybrid item type (which i think is quite underrated).

somewhat underwhelming at first glance, storm surge is quite a powerful weapon if used correctly. because it's super slow, it has a high base damage as well, and as a result it can unleash some pretty big damage with chain lightning. perhaps it's enough to deal with the fact that it has fairly low meteor damage when compared to others.

You should try some stuff with Storm Surge, Omega, Starglass, and Leviathan. These builds are really neat!
Maybe Cyanine or Condensation as well, they're extremely powerful for non-endgame uniques.
