Mage Or Archer?

I'm just looking for some veteran opinion on this. I like Archer with it's high dps, but it's made of paper and pots are annoying. Mage has meteor and good heals, but dps seems low on bosses. I'm usually going to be a solo player, so having someone to give me heals is out of the question. I like the range, so don't say warrior and assassin. Which is better for grinding and which is better for questing and late game? Thanks!

 

mage is just plain broken and very easy to play
with archer you would have a lot more fun, but it is a lot harder to fight bosses alone

 

It depends what you want, mage is way more reliable because of heal but it's a little too reliable (at least in my opinion), if you have decent gear and don't completely ignore the intelligence stat you can just heal through pretty much everything. Archer is way less powerful but it's... you know, actually interesting. I would only recommend mage if you played with friends, wanted to do some special challenge or just wanted to experience the story and even then you could always do any of that and play one of the fun classes.

I would suggest Archer, because although it is made of glass, for (most) PvE it's fine because of range and high damage. Also, whilst it doesn't have Heal, Archer's spells are pretty good, and can be used for different things. Also, who can resist free speed? (Escape, Archer's mobility spell, gives you Speed III potion effect at Grade II, unlocked at level 26 if you don't know).
