Mage/Dark Wizard Help Lvl 100 Mage Build

I am a returning player, played way back, I hit lvl 100 back then and quit, I can’t Lvl with my current equip nor can I fight anything at the moment.

I am quite low on Emeralds but do I have some spare, can anyone help me out making me a build where I can survive and do the daily task so I can get actual good stuff?

I still don’t really know what the mage archetypes are or really do, an explanation would be awesome.
