Lore: Slykaar

So recently I am aware of these lore thingy, since there is basically nothing to do except looting in seavale for money. Also I created this thread because I just helped my friend to do the quest and Undergrowth ruins, and I paid attention to the lore.

So basically the lore about Slykaar is that he was a shaman, also Troms' hero, who sacrifices people in order to protect Troms. hmmm, in my opinion, he was a good person, except for how he drains life energy to protect troms...

I think he isn't that evil, he turned evil because Troms' citizen banished him after Bob appeared, when this isn't his fault at all. And after those incidents they decided to kill slykaar, instead of apologizing to him for what they did?

Slykaar may not have been straight up destructive evil (like Amadel or Bak’al) but he sure was fucked up. I mean, who the fuck sacrifices children and peasants just to protect a city?

also if you paid attention to the dialogue he expresses his desire for revenge, which by default makes him evil. He also shows joy in the fact that Bob is dead, which means that there’s nobody left to safeguard Troms from him.

 

Slykaar can still be credited with keeping troms and in turn the province alive, however yes, he was a sadistic and fucked up murderer. He sacrificed children and peasants to keep Troms alive, despite the fact that his shaman magic likely knew of other ways to protect the city

He wasn't a destructive evil that wanted the entire province at his feet so he could make it submit to their image, like Amadel or Bak'al or CoW. But he was seriously fucked up until he became one when he was banished from Troms. To the point where he traveled to the Realm of Darkness just to become powerful enough to destroy and invade Troms and make the corruption wash over.
