Of course, I assume all of you know how to loot run, but I will be covering all bases in this guide. Advanced information shall be titled in a Light Blue Color While the basic tidbits of information will be Colored Orange

    What is a Loot Run?
A loot run, or LR as I may refer to it in this guide, is planned out route involving many Loot chests, which come in four different tiers. Tier I, II ,III, and IV. These are always referred to using roman numerals.
Tier's One and Two are different from regular chests (Ones that server no purpose other than nice designs) by the telltale spark particle effects.
    upload_2017-12-15_17-41-40.png
While Teir's Three and Four have white particle effect.
    upload_2017-12-15_17-43-16.png
Lootruns are used to gain items and emeralds quickly, since, if you do it properly, you can find quite good items in loot chests.

Why is my Loot Run sucking?
Sometimes you get really good loot runs, and sometimes you get horrid chests, such as this loot three chest:
    upload_2017-12-15_17-48-27.png
So why are chests sometimes amazing, and sometimes horrible, such as the one above?
There are a few things that cause bad chests:
    -It is a new server
-You don't have good Loot Bonus
-You just logged onto that world.

    How to Fix these issues:
Solution One (It is a new server):
I could easily say "Just hop around, and look or a server that is restarting soon". But that would take ages, and sometimes you wouldn't even find a good server, since each "Restarting in ____" message only appears once a minute.
If there were twenty servers, it would take you a maximum of 20 minutes to find a good server that is restarting soon. Not at all viable.
Thankfully, there is a trick to find old servers; the Server API:
    https://api.wynncraft.com/public_api.php?action=onlinePlayers
It may seem a little over whelming, but look at it for a few seconds and you will find it is actually extremely simple, although it is a wall of text.
    upload_2017-12-15_17-53-52.png
At the beginnning there is some jargon about a 'timestamp', that I don't understand, nor do I really need to.
Next it tells you what server it is, in this case it is WC4. And then it continues to list the players on that particular world.
    How does this help you?
The servers are listed not in order (1,2,3,4,5 ETC) but in how long the world has been up. Using this bit of information, we find that the server at the top of the list = the oldest server.
    upload_2017-12-15_17-57-18.png
(Reverse the orders of Oldest and Newest on the picture... And Presto! You have your answer)

Solution Two (You Don't Have Good Loot Bonus)
-This is simple. If you have negative loot bonus, you chests and mob drops will suck, If you have good loot bonus, they will rock.
There are several good loot bonus items.
    Helmet: Pelier
Chestplate: Discoverer/Diamond Dust (Diamond dust is cheap alternative)
    Leggings: Jera
Boots: Pirate luck, purchasable at Pirate Cove

These may not be viable to go together in a build. So here are some Loot Bonus Builds:
All credit goes to the thread creators unless stated otherwise in the thread.
    https://wynndata.tk/builder/?helmet=Pelier&chestplate=Discoverer&leggings=Jera&boots=Pirate+Luck&ring1=Old+Keeper's+Ring&ring2=Old+Keeper's+Ring&bracelet=Knucklebones&necklace=Hexed+Amulet&weapon=Nativitate&powders=&powders_armor=&str=0&dex=0&int=0&def=0&agi=0&earthDmg=33&thunderDmg=33&waterDmg=33&fireDmg=33&airDmg=33&spellOdd=0&spellRaw=0&meleeOdd=33&meleeRaw=39

Solution Three (You Just logged onto that world)

Next scenario. You have done all the things above, you have a good lootbonus build, you have found the old server.... But the chests just still are sucking.
The answer to this may be that you have yes, joined a old server, but you either
A- Just opened that chest on a different server
    Or
B- You just joined the servers, making the chests suck.

    Answer to A:
There are cooldowns to each chest:
    Tier I: 3 Minutes
    Tier II: 6 Minutes
    Tier III: 12 Minutes
    Tier IV: 24 Minutes
    (Timing Credit to: @Rhythmically )

If you wait just long enough for the chest to open, yes, it will open, but the contents will suck. Avoid this by waiting atleast a full 30-60 minutes before loot running again.

    Answer to B:
After joining a server, wait for a bit before loot running.

    Locations to
    Loot Run in:

There are many different locations to loot run in. Below are some of those places.

    -Rodoroc

(Outdated, so some chests are missing. But I checked, this still works)

    -Nessak and Lusoco Region
No video. However, there are many trees, caves and hidden places where chests are hidden.
Make sure to check all of these, and have fun making your own loot run

    -Sky Islands (Dangerous but good)

    -Dernel Jungle

    -Corkus

    What Should I keep?
If you have a effective loot run, you will find that your inventory fills up way to fast. In fact only a few chests will completely fill it up.
In response to this you must filter what you take.

    Uniques:
Do not take these items. You get around 15-30 Emeralds for each un-ided item. And according to a test I have done, Identifying Uniques cost more that Item Buyers will pay.

In this video, I gained money. However, it was very little money, and since it was so little money
A- It is not worth it to fill up your inventory only to gain 3 EB.
B- There is a large variant between prices I could have gotten

If I got the worst I could have gotten, I would have lost a lot of money.

    Rares:

Keep these. Identifying them will cost a good amount of money if you have a lot of them, but the item buyer will pay more.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qJNj1i8KKg&t

    Legendaries:

Obviously, you want to keep every single one of these. I suggest you create a shop in the Trade Market After that is done start adding your good legendaries to the shop.
Stars ( * ) indicate how good a particular item is.
If the legenary is bad, Item buyer it, or re-id it if you really want to. However, re-iding will cost you lots of money, and there is no way the item buyer will refund you if you get a bad Re-ID. This is a gamble.

    Set items:
I will upload footage tomorrow (Saturay, December 16th)
But my study has shown it costs more to identify level 100ish set items, such as morph helms, than it does to item buyer them. I will cost you.
Set items usually dont sell for much, so no need to take them from the chests

    Powders:

    Discard powders Tier 1-3.
    Keep powders 4,5,6.
You can sell these for a decent amount each powder.
Now that there is more bank space, I suppose you can take all powders, but throw out Tiers 1-3 if you need more space.
Place Rares, set items, and Legendaries ahead of powders, so if you find a legendary, throw out a powder to make room for it in your inv

    Health Potions:
Keep your inventory free of all health potions when starting to loot run.
You will gather them from the chests.
Only take these if you are low on health. Drink up until you have maximum health, adn then throw the pot away. Repeat next time you lose heath.

Well, this guide has taken me a unexpectedly long time.
I will edit it tomorrow, adding more information and editing some sections.
If you find that something in this thread should be altered, removed, or something new added, make a comment!

Yo this is nice! I'm sure I will find myself referencing this guide -- not only does it show popular loot runs, it provides tips for improving the loot run experience. Another great guide!

-Added cooldown times for chests, Credit to @Rhythmically
    -Changed some wording
    -Changed sizing of some words
-Clarified on my mistake from the picture of the API. snipping tool messed up, so I couldnt post a new picture

I know this is a silly question, but.. is there a good loot run you know of, or another thread of a loot run for low levels (I'm a level 45). I understand that I could just level up quickly and do higher level loot runs, but I like taking my time and doing quests, so I don't like grinding; while I'm at this level range for a while, i'd like good items.

I did one loot run in Rodoroc, then I would do it every hour, for about 3 hours a day.
I say did because a lot of chests were removed in molten heights, and now I don't know what to do...
Probs gonna start learning loot runs in multiple locations.
