SPOILER [old] Location Of Corkus Confirmed With Maths

Corkus has been released and my estimate was confirmed! This thread is made when Grian made his livestream on Corkus and it hasn't been released yet, where my friend and I tried to find out where it is. As for the wynnter update the map is updated and the Corkus island (without its content) is pushed out. Still read the thread to enjoy the ridiculous speculation :D



Hello Guys! My mate and I have done some calculations in Grian's stream to find out the rough location of Corkus in the map!
To show how we did the calculation I'll use @CapitanoJames 's video to show the timer

Spoiler: Hint 1

Grian showed this island (Hint 1) in 16:17 when he flew from Corkus to Gavel, which is near the edge of llevigar and Karoc Quarry. Therefore if we rewind it a bit and calculate the distance he flew from the North edge of Corkus by counting how many chunks he loaded (16:00). He flewed 45 chunks North and drifted 7 chunks West.

When we compare the location of that island in Hint 1 and do some coordination geometry, the North edge of Corkus, aka the place Grian started flying to Gavel is roughly around -1252 -3470. Which is surprisingly close to volcanic islands but there are bound to have some errors in calculating.

All in all, this is roughly where Corkus is located on the map.

Apparently theres some confusion for some people, Corkus was originally a meme in Wynn's community where Grian and the content team actually turn this joke into an actual content that will be released in future update, it is a huge island but it is technically not a providence. Sorry for being a tad rude, I've just been away and the first thing I see is what appears to be a Corkus joke. I'll keep it noted.
On a tangent, why would they add Corkus and not the other two previously-stated continents?

 

Because corkus has more HYPE and smaller=less work

 

Dern and fruma are provinces and ate being worked on.
Corkus is being added as a giant island made by people who left fruma.

 

The real question.
Will Fruma/Corkus have a Lazarus Pit?
Just like Wynn and Gavel?

 

The reasoning for Corkus is because after Gavel, the team were not really working because of lack of motivation. They were really passionate about Corkus, though, one of their favourite inside jokes, so Grian told them they could make it a reality (after they pestered him for ages) to give them something they really wanted to work on.

Corkus is NOT a province, just a set of islands, its gonna be a releatively big area but not province size, probably the size of the Dernal + Normal jungle
