Legit how does one play reworked trickster?

Ok so, I'm a trickster main--or I was, I guess.
Before the rework I played constantly, and trickster was my favorite way to play, but then the rework dropped, I somehow had to beat the rest of the qira hive with what was basically a completely new playstyle and my entire build was invalidated now.
And I have one question--well kind of two. Seriously devs, why? what did us trickster mains ever do to you to get a rework that literally just turned clones into sacrifices? And then secondly, how am I meant to play this archetype now? Like this is a genuine question, how are you meant to play this? is it a tank, is it a damager, is it like just "sacrifice your clones for some aoe"?? like how is this meant to work?
