Resource Pack Legends' Awakening - Announcement

Hey!

It's been a while since I last said something about my resource pack, hasn't it? With all sorts of ordeals that have occurred, from the horrible destruction of my beloved "old laptop", to the harsh new reality of the strange program known as "GIMP", as well as the added factor of "high school", not much time has been invested into finishing the pack. (Seriously, when was the last time I updated the pack...?)

Back when I was planning for the future of the pack, I posted a list of things that I would do, and things I wouldn't do. On my do list, was to create a new logo for the pack. Now, this took me a while to think about it, because the old logo is a Wynncraft-based logo, with the hexagonal shape and the big-ass W and the 2spooki Eye of Wynn (insert conspiracy theory here). I wanted the pack to be more original, and not just piggybacking on Wynn all the time, so instead of being a hexagon, it's now three weird pieces of a rectangle, a sign of a new dawn and a different horizon.

Okay now that we got the deep part outta the way, let's get down to business!

What do I have in store for the next update?​

• Tons of New Item Textures - A whole barrel of monkeys and 16x textures, nothing too fancy.
• Tons of New Block Textures - As of right now, Legends' Awakening will be the first Wynncraft resource pack to actually have customized block textures! Well, at least until "LE OFFICIAL RE-SORCERER'S WINEKRAFT PACMAN (<" comes out.
• Wizard Fortress Textures - Does anyone here even still play Wizard Fortress...?
• Custom Item Textures - To prevent daggers from looking like shears, and to prevent shears from looking like daggers.
• Tons of New Splashes - From old server references to quotes from other games or fancy adjectives or whatever the hell I'm thinking of at the time of writing them, they're there now! And they WORK!
• New Music - Still on the lookout for really fitting tunes to play when traveling through the magical realm. Y'all are free to leave suggestions!
  
• Screenshots - No pics, no clicks, am I right?
• A Whole New Logo - If you were too damn lazy to read what the top says!
• A Whole New HUD and GUI - To go along with my current style of more detailed textures and less gradient blobs, I've decided to work on the "HEADS UP DISPLAY" and the "GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE", so that it'll make playing Wynncraft look a little better.
• 1.8 Compatibility - What about 1.9? Nah man, f*ck that noise!
• Tons of Effort - I didn't spend two years on this project for nothing...
• Class Icons - Now class selection looks less boring!

But what won't be in the pack?​

• 64x, 128x, 256x, 512x, 1028x, 2056x, 1.03934243e+32x, etc - I'm not a huge fan of high resolution packs since they start straying away from the cartoony magical feel of the game, so it's not gonna happen. Sorry, I'm not sAhri.
• 3D Models - I know this is going to disappoint people who were hoping to see some of that Z-coordinate stuff, but I don't know if I want these to be a part of the pack or not. It's a lot of work to make a working model, and all my attempts to make models have been canceled about three hours in. But if you want 3D models, go rip the models from Warlords or something. Or you could wait for Gavel to come out and use "LE OFFICIAL RE-SORCERER'S WINEKRAFT PACMAN (<". (It's a good pack, you'll probably like it better than this one.)
• A Dragon D*ldo - I already said this before, I will never add a d*ldo bat texture.

And what about other things?​

• Animated Textures - I might add some for the weapons, but other than that, don't expect to see very many.
• 1.9 Compatibility - Real talk now, I really don't see myself continuing to update the pack for 1.9 or for any future updates, unless there's an actual reason to do so.

I know this information is quite a lot to take in, considering lots of you were never aware of the fact that I even made a resource pack (9/7 wasn't a huge help). But trust me, once it's done, I'm hoping that you'll really like it. For those of you who have continued to show support for this project, I am working as hard as I can to make sure that the five month waiting time is worth it.

For music, just do the classic Wynn music.

 

Eh, I dunno... I feel like it adds a bigger sense of authenticity to the pack.
But if you don't like the music I put into the pack, you're free to replace it with the Wynncraft soundtrack.
Just make sure you convert the songs to .ogg files, and replace accordingly.

 

I know, I'm an amateur pack-maker myself.

 

you guys deserve to see what ive been up to, after i made you guys wait so much.

finals are priority, but i will work my ass off during the break to finish this pack.i promise you that.
