    For a level 101 mage (me) is it possible (and if yes with what gear) to get to the diamond stage on legendary island ? thank you

    It's actually quite easy to solo LI as a mage with a proper build. I personally ran a The Nothing build, if you're willing to clear EO 4 times. Can't post the build right now because Wynndata is down. Morrowind, Hive Wand, and Nepta are all pretty solid non-mythic options for 100+ mage.
