Leather Farming

So if you could tell by the title of this post you could assume that I am doing the ToL quest currently. So my question was where can I find mobs that drop leather asides cows at Katoa Ranch?

 

When I did the ToL quest for my Hunter, I got leather from the cows near Rymek. That was before the Gavel update though, and I haven't yet checked whether they still drop leather. They should, though. The cows are located on both entrances of the town.

why didn't you just go to Katoa Ranch..

 

I did go there but got barely any leather, so I was asking where I could get leather faster

 

When you're doing the quest "Taproot" and you're at the part where you go into the past, kill the cows there. They have an almost guaranteed chance of giving 1-3 leather each. The ones near Rymek, for me at least, only gave me 12 leather in about 30 minutes...

 

Honestly it doesn't take too long to get the leather at Katoa Ranch as long as you have somewhat of a decent loot bonus. I think I got the whole stack in around an hour or less of running around killing everything I saw in the ranch. This was post-Gavel too
