So what are the top 5 least fav boss altars for you?

    So for me:
    1. Altar of Sanctification. This boss is basically a DPS test mainly because his 10k hp stages have it where at some point he regens like 3/4 of his HP, and beforehand doing some thing to get you away from him. He doesn’t do much damage and you just have to time when he has the white particles and bam he’s dead. Not to mention he’s glitchy as hell, and doesn’t spawn half the time, and you have to waste like 2 EB for travel if you run out of skeins badges (honestly tho I’d rather do that than get Werewolf tails for Challenge of the Blades)
    2. Tribal Sanctuary: This boss is just simple, he does charge and multi, but the mystics should be taken out first, as they heal the boss, and dodging the multi hit is fairly easy, but may not be easy for people on their first playthrough, as they probably hadn’t done any altars before. It’s way too easy.
    3. Arena of the legends: this boss is basically just annoying with his TP and minions but that’s mainly it, and warriors may struggle on this one, but they could probably war scream spam Grand Magus. Also 12k is pretty weak for a lvl 70 boss, and 40k is not threatening,
    4. Geyser Pit: The minions are annoying but the boss isn’t that bad and he doesn’t have much HP and the minions are just annoying and don’t help too much in killing you. So yeah this boss is more of annoying than hard
    5. Sunrise Canyon: this boss is kinda based off of how ranged you are. Archers or shamans (Totem) can shred him, while classes that are melee based usually get shredded as he is very deadly against melee, but pretty easy to deal with ranged classes

    5. Arena of the Legends
I thought of putting Bovine Barn here but that's actually a pretty good earlygame challenge. The idea is fine with him switching from being invulnerable to certain elements and all except Air at the end. I just don’t like the final phase where he just teleports behid you and oneshots you with a BASIC ATTACK

    4. Geyser Pit
Why do the minions phase through the ground and explode in your face? The boss is otherwise actually pretty good and wouldn't be here. It reminds me of Wybel with the immortal phase.

    3. Altar of Santification
    the LEAVES

    2. Tribal Sanctuary
It's a pretty good tutorial for boss altars and the battle kind of "teaches you to be good" but looking at it from a boss altar perspective, it's extremely bland and boring. The rewards are fine.

    1. Challenge of the Blades
It takes YEARS to grind the werewolves, the boss is just a big easy dissapointment and the rewards aren't even great.

Another Boss Altar thread? At this point it's just gauging the interests of the community and creating an input pool where people's opinions on the matter vary from "this is amazing" to [insert expletive-laden review here]. But here we are anyway, because it really is a good way to keep track of what CT might look on next, acting as... some sort of a feedback thread I guess?

Tribal Sanctuary is an introduction to Boss Altars, and it does a pretty good job at it. In fact, it may be doing its job a little too well. It is a dead simple altar with the boss having no redeeming qualities whatsoever, besides the moderate amount of Beads it drops, which is required to get one of the five elemental masks (Level 57 - due to a bug, their stats do not display, but they're fairly good at level), and to access the titular Passage (titular, as the quest that sends you to a boss altar in the first place is named The Passage), which makes life infinitely easier in Temple of Legends.

Other than that, it's just nothing special.
    Two words: Leaf Block.

Barring that, Altar of Sanctification requires completion of Skien's Island, which is one of the most labyrinthine areas in the game. This, by the way, is without mentioning that General Skien himself is a somewhat challenging fight at level.

AoS is a DPS test - the boss is a fairly straightforward enemy with 10-12k HP per phase and Earth/Fire resistance. The drops are good even past their level (Quick-Strike Leggings is a good tierstack leggings - change my mind), but that's about it.
The murder fuzz getting nerfed is definitely a beginning, but it is still a pretty brutal boss if you're careless.

The reason it's on this list is because of the previous iterations of this boss instantly (or after a couple of hits) killing you because of disintegrators. This is good design, actually - you're supposed to stay away from them once they have been exposed. The other reason is the altar being very difficult to access unless you're a Mage or Assassin. Archer and Shaman will either overshoot or undershoot the platforms. Warrior can still get to the main platform with Charge.
Teleport + burst attacks should cease to exist.

This, in addition to bringing a Rainbow and an Air weapon (you can still bring a Bob's Mythic if you have done Reincarnation), makes this boss somewhat easier to deal with. However, it does require one of the longest and most tedious quests in the game, a part of it taking place in the dreaded Maro Peaks - a.k.a. that one island you are forced to bring an underleveled helmet to (Maro is Lv. 60+, the Climbing Helmet is Lv. 40-44).
The 1.19 change has made this fight definitely less straightforward, and not in a good way.

Bore Mechs that were supposed to sit underneath the solid surface above them sometimes decide planar boundaries are for sissies. They pop out of the ground and one-tap you because [insert expletive here]!

The invincibility phase is also a cruel joke. In Orange Wybel, you could at least control the Disintegrators by staying away from them and clumping them to one place. This ain't happening in Geyser Pit. You'll have to deal with the explodobots on your bum, and if that wasn't enough, have fun waiting TEN SOLID MINUTES just to get a phase transition. (This was Shots' experience, anyway, I might be incorrect)
