Just found out about the Underworld Crypt boss update

Haven't played much since Spellbound, especially since on release the servers were so overloaded, but upon starting a new character and making it to the Underworld Crypt dungeon I was VERY surprised when the battle got updated, and I proceeded to get pummeled into the ground by Charon without the assistance of any army.
The battle is certainly WAY harder this way, and Charon is a much more complex fight than any other battle around this level, for example Garroth in Lost Sanctuary just before this, but it makes sense considering how much of a threat Charon is played up as (and that he originates from Greek mythology (and that he is the first dungeon boss to get his own battle theme)).
Personally I love the new fight, and I think the old one is funny for being plants vs zombies, but I was wondering what other people thought about this big change to a dungeon.

the new fight is neat but i wish they just made a better version of the original to be honest

 

It was a neat gimmick, but it got old pretty quick and killed the pacing.

 

I hated the old one so much that I cant even remember exactly what Charon was looking like (since I just kept spawning the thingies with no thought or effort). The new one is my favourite dungeon boss

 

i almost died it was kinda scary
but i like it, doesnt take forever now to kill the boss

 

I might have just crafted really mediocre gear lol but I did try to make as good of lv30 gear as I could. Paladin flaming uppercut was my only good method of damage, and that move typically obliterates anything outside the dungeon at the moment

 

I mean i was with a friend but he still felt like he was doing no damage to us and we were doing a ton to him. Like the guy killed an entire city. Probably needs to be expanded lore wise because entities like him shouldnt just... happen

 

The old fight was really cool, but it felt really out of place as a dungeon boss. It should definitely be brought back for a quest tho.
