Throughout the years I've really enjoyed poetry, experimenting with many types such as haiku, ballads, free verse, concrete and many more. However, I'm really liking narrative poetry and so here I have one that me and my friend made. We call it, Winter Horror.

    Winter Horror

As the raging winter winds furiously cut through my tender skin, I started to feel the fear on the surface, suddenly having a forced grin.
I was paralyzed with my baggy attire flying loosely in this abusive weather.
I was rather confused, and therefore I looked for clues, believe me, I looked long and hard, I played my trump card.
My will, a burning torchlight in this brutal weather but was that an illusion that was driving me to traverse and get it together?
I walked, then stopped to observe this disturbed man smiling grimly, as blood slowly dripped down his face holding a sharp and sturdy mace. He gave me a signal to join him in his rundown cabin, but his dark aura dared me not to think of what would happen.
I ran as fast as lighting trying to get away and hide in the shadows although his dark aura was everywhere. I observed like an owl would, forcing myself to enhance my senses by each second, and then I saw a horrific scene!
The man was killing an innocent woman with her bloodied corpse on the ground.
This time for sure I knew he was insane, and for my efforts to not go in vain I made a dash for a way to escape, anything would suffice, and to my surprise, a vehicle appeared before my eyes rumbling like a fierce lion and I had managed to escape, with a scrape and in terrible shape. What would've happened if I joined the man on that day, would I had met my grim fate?

Yes, a bit on the dark side but we think it came out pretty good, our English teacher gave us 100% for it.
