I've Been Gone For Three Years

Hello! As this title suggests, I have been gone for three years and I have finally come back! :D

So I was wondering like what has changed, I log on and my gear just falls off of me and I have to drop items out of my inventory to pick up what used to be the best armor in the game. Then people took the emeralds I left on the floor. D:< Also, what happened to the modifiers? All of the modifiers are missing (XP Boost, Loot, etc). Spawn also felt laggy for me? (Usually run at 120 fps, was at 10) If anyone could help me out that would be great! Thanks :D

And I did see the post about 'returning players' so more in depth detail than that would be very nice.
