Item disappeared

So I had a legendary weapon called The Divide. It was an amazing weapon. I'm currently doing the "Craftmas Chaos" quest and I am boating myself over to the island I need to go to. I accidentally pressed Q instead of W and threw my weapon into the water. I was stationary, so it should have fallen right next to me. I got out of the boat and it was not there. Like I just threw it into the void. I swam all over the place and retraced everywhere I went. I swam all around the area I was in when I threw it and it is nowhere. Like it just disappeared, never even went into the water. What do I do? It was my beat and favorite weapon. Please help.

 

Unfortunately we have a strict no-refund policy on lost/dropped items, you could probably find the same weapon on the trade market, though. To prevent dropping important items in the future, use the /lock command with the item you want to item-lock in hand.
