Issue With Quest 'fate Of The Fallen'

I am doing the quest 'Fate of the Fallen' and have just come back to the present day.
As my inventory was full, I was not able to pick up Theorik's powder in time (I tried to clear space in my inventory as quickly as possible). Therefore, I do not have it and cannot finish the quest. Have I missed something out or is this a bug?

Take the wand from the bank.
Go back to time valley (Manually!)
Use the temple to travel back to old Neesak
Redo quest

This works for most ”bug”s
