Is there such a thing as too much LB or LQ

I have heard multiple rumors regarding how too much LB or LQ affect lootruns. Some say there are caps to how much you can have any any more than that will do nothing extra. Some people say things like too much LB like as if you were wearing a discoverer can add to many emeralds to a chest or something like that in place of armor/weapons. I would like to clear this up so I know if I should be wasting money on things like LB/LQ potions and a 75% LB dagger for my Weathered lr. Thanks in advance

 

LB soft caps at 80% and LQ soft caps at 40% iirc. After that, I think like every 1 or 5% gets converted to less than a 1% increase. Either way, all you really need to focus on is hitting the soft caps if you're on a budget, because the extra values won't make a massive difference

 

Okay thanks for fully explaining it but if you had a good disco, it would be enough to make a difference right? and would having too much loot bonus add more emeralds to the chest instead of better loot or anything else to mess with it cuz I had multiple people tell me not to use disco for loot run

 

Definitely use Disco for loot runs, it has so much extra LB that it will make a big difference if you get good rolls on it. LB just increases the quantity of items in the chest and isn't strictly limited to emeralds

 

You're right, too much lb can actually decrease the amount of boxes in loot chests, although it only happens in extreme cases, that is for example, you have a full set with Disco and an lb weapon and you loot a chest that hasn't been opened in ages. Because of this I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe don't use an lb weapon.
