Is there a point in making bug reports about discoveries?

Hello, yes, this is Lilyana, a random Wynncraft player looking for some answers.
So, the reason for this question/thread is the following:

I have been looking through some bug reports regarding a certain secret discovery, specifically the Light Forest's Temple of Light secret discovery, as I've been having trouble completing it, and I discovered that there have been players making bug reports about this discovery's non-function (large mirror not reflecting light, thus making the discovery nigh-impossible) since July 2023, and yet as of right now, October 24 2023, the discovery is still not working, and not just for myself, but for everyone I have talked to or seen attempting it.

So my question is, why should we be making these bug reports if they are ignored for months and months, with no update on whether the Wynncraft team even know about the bug in the first place? I'm obviously unaware of what's up behind the scenes, but it still feels pretty bad to see a problem that has been running rampant for months, and we don't even know if it will ever be fixed.

I don't mean any of what I said here in any malicious way. I'm just frustrated, and, honestly, disappointed. All I'm hoping for with this thread is that we can finally get the attention needed, and for this bug to be fixed once and for all.

Yes, you should be making reports, otherwise the CT won’t be as likely to know about and be able to fix a lot of bugs.
The temple if light discovery has not been continuously broken for that long. It has been fixed between then and now, but then also broken once more, because temple of light specifically is a bitch and breaks every other patch (of course that’s a pretty annoying problem, but one that only applies to specifically this discovery and not bug reports in general).

 

Thanks for the feedback! As I've stated, I'm unaware of what's in the background of this bug, so I couldn't have known this discovery is such a chore to deal with. I think I understand better, and really, I wasn't trying to discourage writing bug reports, I was just quite frustrated at the time of writing this thread. I do agree with your statement, and I will definitely make sure to reach out to the proper channels if I have other questions or reports to make!
My reply is a bit long-winded, but all in all I'm grateful for your quick answer, and I hope that along with the other players, we can continue to give you the feedback you need to make Wynncraft ever greater.
