Is the recruit system glitched?

Essentially a few nights ago I recruited my alt account and was able, at least for a day, to make use of the combat xp bonus while taking it to lvl 105, which was very useful.

However, when I woke up today and checked once again, the game told me I have invited no players. And not only that but I'm afraid my second account is now older than 3 days old so I'm no longer able to recruit it once again.

Is this intentional? If not is there any way to recruit it still? I know it sounds like a bit of an unwarranted advantage in the first place, but I did buy two accounts after all, and should probably be allowed to do this, right?
