Is The Empire Builder Good?

Ok so, my friend gave me an Empire Builder when I was level 30, and I kept it in my ender chest ever since. I just hit level 79, but I don't know if it's a good weapon or not.

 

I don't main mage, but as a general rule, if it kills the mobs around you quickly, then it's a good weapon.
Until around lvl 100 when I started using builds, I was still using a level 70 weapon.
To this day, I still have not gotten a weapon with lower raw dmg.

 

The thing about the Empire Builder is that it only has base 55-80 neutral damage, but it also has +6 to all skills and 8 powder slots, so I'm not really sure what to make of it. (By the way I've been using Olux's Prized Wand up to this point.)

 

It's an improvement over Olux's probably, but it's not particularly terrific. I'd personally grab an ethereal at that level since it'll serve you rally well, but empire builder does have a decent amount of raw damage potential on its side.

 

It's definitely dependent on its powder slots, which makes it a pricey option that isn't even particularly good.

 

I’d defiantly suggest Etherial. It’s so good it had to be nerfed as it was still a viable weapon at endgame. It’s defiantly the best pick I’d say, but it depends on your current armour/accessories. If you want to try out some builds try using wynndata.tk
