Well my question is the title. So if i got negetive melee dmg. I should use a bow that deals elemental dmg(Maelstrom, though my main element is lightning) instead of
bob mythic bow that due purely Neutral?

Any ideas what bow can i use to replace maelstrom? No neutral/lightning dmg.
    Must be below level 76

no melee damage SHOULD apply for both neutral and elemental damage
alltho , there is a bug that makes RAW melee damage only work on neutral damage still % melee damage will effect elemental damage

Since there is a wand which has elemental damage and negative melee damage, I think negative melee damage happens for elements too.
Also, don't base everything you have on old endgame stuff. They may not necessarily be the best thing for you. If everything you have is based around thunder, get a thunder weapon. Then maybe have a moderately/completely neutral weapon like Bob's Mythic for when you need it. Because Bob's Mythic certainly isn't the best weapon for any build (yes, even neutral damage, there are neutral damage weapons which outdamage Bob's Mythic even for archer, though they often actual mythics).

No, melee damage affects every kind of damage you do with a regular hit / shot, and doesn't affect the spells you cast no matter the element.
