Ingredients?

Hiya,

I’m very new to the game and have been playing less than a week but I still am very confused when it comes to ingredients.

From context, I’ve sussed that I’d need them to make better armour/weapons but I’m quite happy getting them through completing quests.

The problem is that my bank and ingredient pouch are completely filled with random ingredients.

My question is basically: is there any point in keeping the ingredients around if I’m not that fussed about crafting new gear. If there is, what should I use the ingredients for?

If you're not doing professions (which I do not recommend for a first playthrough) ingredients serve little purpose and are better sold off, even if you decided to pick up proffing you could always either find these ingredients again or buy them on the trade market. They're not that expensive or hard to come by at early levels anyways.

There are a few that you need for quests, and it’s technically optimized to keep them around rather than toss them out, though it only saves you like 10 minutes of grinding. The ones I can remember are Bob’s tear and Gold Bars. Also you can do mini quests with them if you need some xp, and they are used in festivals occasional. Otherwise, sell to tm/blacksm it h
