    I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to wynncraft items, so any pointers are welcome too!

    Good mage items for that purpose in general are:

    -Spectre->Third Eye
    -Millennium->Seagazer->Aquarius
    -Crystal->Vaward
    -Sodeta Boots->Memento->Capricorn
    -Concentration/Suppression/Moon Pool Circlet/Reminder
    -Squid Anklet/Tidal
    -Royal Stormy Amulet->Calming Torc
    -Ethereal->Requiem->Lament + Whimsy

    Those are good mana regen / spell damage items. Remember that you generally should not have over 15 mana regen, you will never need that much from my experience. I can do with ~10 on every single class if I have high int. Just remember to cast other spells in between spamming meteor or teleport, so the mana counter will not go up.

    The four wands I mentoined are the only ones you'll need. Most of the time Ethereal beats Lunar Spine in every single way, don't get a Lunar Spine. Invest in a very good Ethereal, it is worth it. Whimsy comes in at lvl 93 as your farming wand. Don't be fooled by the name "farming wand" though, as it deals some serious air damage. Later on you can replace Ethereal with Requiem, but keep in mind Requiem is not much better than a good Ethereal.
    Lament of course is an optional luxury. It frees space from mana regen items, because you can gain very high mana with it's mana steal; you can focus on damage or tank items instead.

    The armor pieces I listed are the general water-air mage items for mana + spell damage. You will have generally bad thunder defense, but that is fine. Watch out for thunder, one weakness is ok.

    Try to not have too much mana; if you have enough on your armour, look for int/sd/water dmg accessories instead. Otherwise the basic suppression/concentration style accessories will do nicely.

    For skill points, the most basic mage build uses water + air, prioritizing water. This combination makes your mana costs as low as possible and makes you have high dodge chance. When you get hit, heal back up instantly.
    Some like to add thunder for extra damage, I personally don't. But it is up to you.

    There are some tips for the basic spell damage + mana mage, I hope they'll work for you! :)
