Art (if You Can Even Consider It Art...) Lazarus The... Indiscriminate Spinosaurid-kinda Feathery Dino?

I'm a noob to art, but I decided to draw some character I had in my head for a while. His name is Lazarus, and yes, he is the one in my profile picture (I was too lazy to actually draw the rest of him). I suck at art, but I see myself improving and I know I can succeed... or something overly sentimental but kinda true like that.
Anyway, Lazarus is, at his most basic, a Spinosaurid, namely some sort of Siamosaurus. He has a raptor-like feather covering (albiet much more primitive feathers than raptors/troodont...ids...plural thing.../avians (birds). The feathers themselves are closer to something like a Therizinosaurus or a Tyrannosaurus than any close relatives to birds. The reason he's quadrupedal is his front-heavy-ness, and he reason he's a knuckle-walker is because theropod hands cant flop over like ours, they have to face each other like a clap.
The deal with him is that he's not entirely organic- he's essentially a mix between a raven and a duck modeled around something spinosaurine with penguin feathers, some completely inorganic parts, and some raptorian traits. His sail is pretty much almost completely synthetic. This is also why his feathers shine blue.
He's also human-made (as you may expect from things I make), and (for some reason) is sentient. Basically, imagine this guy as me. It's pretty much what he is. He's pretty much my OC... a 'DinOC", if you will (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah i'm funny) ...
This design is not permanent. Critique this if you want. I would love other's input on where this guy should go. He's pretty much me (and represents me in every way shape or form, I mean, seriously, he's literally who I am on the internet), so I want him to be as good of a character I can make him.

I'm thinking of something to replace the stripe down the middle. I think I might go with some kind of (maybe double) helix pattern.

 

yeah that would be cool!

 

If the poll had an "Ok" or a "It's alright" option, I would've chosen that, as (I think) the picture didn't suck, I've seen much, much worse art.
Likin' the small descriptions and diagrams though, they make it as if this was in some sort of science textbook.

 

I feel like replacing that stripe. Is this good?
