Identifiying Items. Glitched

When i go to identify an item, it is all normal. But if i go to the armour merchant in detlas, it says what the item will be when i hover over it. Is this a bug or is it supposed to happen, If not, can an admin please fix this

 

This has been happening to me too, however, after I exit out, everything returns to normal.

 

Well of course, the merchants wouldn't sell random items that they find, they still sell definite items. The item chosen is not random at identification, it is picked the moment you obtain it.

 

You don't understand what i meen. When i hover over an unidentified item, it shows what it is, is it normal to know it before identifying?

 

What information shows when you hover over your unidentified item? The IDs show? The texture shows? Be more specific.

EDIT: You accidentally said Armour Merchant instead of Identifier- May want to change that. Maybe a screenshot would help us understand?

 

it shows the name of an item. I don't know if it is a problem, but can help me get more emeralds than normal.

 

I'm not sure whether this is what happened, but this is what it sounds like:
1. You get an unidentified item from a mob.
2. You identify it at the identifier, everything is normal.
3. You go to the armour merchant and see that there are unique items.
4. These unique items already show the ids and the name, which to you seems like a bug.

This isn't a bug. The ids have to be there or you wouldn't know what you were buying. But the only reason they are uniques is that they had to have the ids in the first place. And as for the name, why would they hide the name until you bought it from the armour merchant?

 

I go to armour merchant before identifying and the unidentified object has the name of what it will be.

 

As I said, items from the armour merchant are already identified. This is not a glitch.

 

The ones i got from a monster in my inventory that are not identified -_-

I am not a noob, I have played since last year. Just not often... But i know about the armour merchant selling unique items. THAT! Is not what i am talking about.

 

I know you are not a noob, it's just that I didn't understand what you meant.
This is probably a glitch. There are so many name glitches surrounding weapons and potions when you do various things. I wouldn't be surprised if the armour merchant glitch happened at any other merchant.
