I don't think, that the Content Team would let us throw all of our ID-ed stuff in the hopper.
First cause they are hard (and expensive) and there are to many possible ID's for one single item... That would take for ever to check...

During the Gale's tomb hunt, Selvut dispelled a theory people had that throwing Ohms' wish into the hopper would open the tomb. He told us that making us throw legendary items into a hopper would be cruel, and that was not the way to open the tomb. I would assume the same logic would apply here, but Selvut did say he thought this whole idea was stupid, and the new ??? creators said this quest would be really hard. So, while it could be slightly possible, I highly doubt we will need to sacrifice any non-junk items.

 

Maybe we should toss a pure into the hopper because pure is made from the meteor that drove him insane!
