So yeah, I am still working on the Bantisu Archives, sorry for the lack of any news on it. This is mostly just a teaser of sorts, I guess it'll be nice to hear any speculations.
Also, here's a random little spoiler on how messy I am with redstone, because why not:

I'd recommend using different data values of water in between the full block placement, just to make it all that much smoother. Also, how'd you get that really cool echo effect?

Well, I would, but I'm not setting water blocks for every block in the area, instead I'm cloning sections of another instance of the area, which are each gradually filled with water.
The echo isn't actually from the map itself, but from a mod, this one: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum...0-sound-physics-realistic-sound-reverberation

If you want the flooding of water to look slightly more realistic, you can try using the data values of water such as water:1, water:2, water:3, etc. These values show the actual height of water. You can setblock water:1-7 to show the water rising up to the fill-point.

You may also try using beacons in the ground and covered by a carpet to hide their texture. It's not a huge deal, but it can help immerse the player in the atmosphere of your build. =)
