I Really Need Help With A Quest That Isnt Working

so im doing wynncraft excavation A and i did everything until the last room where i killed the pharaoh and picked up the yellow crystal its just called yellow crystal for me not yellow crystal shard that could be important but thats what he dropped and so i go to the portal at the back of the room but it pushes me out? it says i have to do something first but what? i then killed him a second time to the same thing, being pushed out and told to do something? my quest book should have been updated after he died and i picked up the crystal but its not working so can anyone help me? im really struggling

 

Did you make your way through the entire area where the tomb is? I forget if there was a region preventing exiting the tomb, and even then it shouldn't be restrained to an item drop.

Could you maybe say what your quest book says currently as well as the exact message you get when you try to exit the tomb? At this point this can't be solved unless further details are given.

 

my quest book currently says "find the secret tomb that wynnexcavation is looking for"and it says to me in red when i try to leave through the portal dont know word for word but it says basically "theres something you need to do first" and thats all that happens i currently have 2 of the crystalls after beating him twice and my quest book doesnt get updated which i know it should because i watched 2 videos

update: i switched servers beat him again got the crystal went to the portal and it happened again and the word for word message says in red: you feel you need to complete something first

 

From what it sounds like, you didn't actually find the "tomb", meaning you didn't trigger something after you solved the riddle that gives you access to it. I'd suggest using a tp scroll or doing /kill to get out, then solving the puzzle again in order to update the quest book.

i looked on the wynncraft wiki and it was kinda vague and not step for step but ill try again because i didnt find the diaries i just knew the code and ill try it again that could be the problem

 

Just make sure you do the quest step by step based on the stages in the quest book or else you will possibly run into problems. I'd suggest start from the beginning and retrace your steps until you successfully update your quest book and start creating progress.
