I Need Help With My Minecraft Being Buggy

so I recently got a hp laptop with i7 intel core and NVidia GeForce in black Friday and I installed minecraft and I couldn't use the new launcher. So I watched a video on how to fix it and so I could use the new launcher.
So I played some mega walls in hypixel and played some pvp and I left to go hang out with friends. When I came back to play some minecraft my launcher worked and everything but when it got to the splash screen, it was all white and nothing was there. There was minecraft music and when I clicked on certain places, it made the click click noise. so I was wondering what was wrong with the minecraft app and what I should do.

Try restarting minecraft?
Or try reinstalling
