Hello, my name is ModernTroglodyte. I am relatively new to the world of Wynncraft (my highest level character is level 22), and am starting to notice the crafting benches placed all around the map. I, being curious, decided to go on a short Internet browsing spree to find out what exactly they did. All I found were some bad YouTube videos and some sketchy websites containing little to no useful information. Could somebody please make a helpful list of what all the different crafting professions and ingredients, and/ or what you can make? Thank you, you are a big help.

First off, gathering and crafting is entirely optional and not generally recommended for someone playing through the game for the first time, unless you really like it and are okay with grinding - a lot. Crafting is how the resources collected from the gathering professions are used; different ingredients go towards making different kinds of items. In general, you can craft armour, weapons, accessories, potions, scrolls (Technically Different Potions™), and food (Technically Different Scrolls™). For crafting you combine a number of materials specified by the recipe, as well as miscellaneous crafting ingredients that modify the effects of the crafted item. For example, for a basic wand I could use two pieces of oak wood and a piece of wheat string, then throw in a piece of rotten flesh to make it do an extra 2-4% melee damage, which also decreases the durability of the item by 17. Crafted items are different from regular items in a few ways; they have durability and skill points granted by them do not contribute towards skill point requirements on gear. The ingredients and materials used must match the level of the recipe you're attempting to create (you cannot use level 100 materials to craft a level 7 pair of boots for instance) and you must be of a sufficiently high level in the skill to craft that item (if your armouring is 31, you can't craft a level 80 chestplate).

As for a list of materials and what they make, each resource yields two outputs; woodcutting can give paper and wood, farming gives grains and string, mining gives ingots and gems, and fishing gives fish meat and oil. There are too many crafting professions for me to neatly list here, but here is a resource you can use to help you find recipes and to see how a recipe would turn out with given ingredients and materials.
