Mage/Dark Wizard Help I Need A Mage Build

i dont know how to make a good build. pls help me
lvl 100 mage
should solo qira and maybe solo li? idk
no mythics no li
no budget limit

and what is better and the difference between rainbow, water, melee and fatal? im noob. thx

 

I'm not great at builds, but I can answer some of your questions. Rainbow *generally* doesn't work for the bigger bosses because they have resistances to multiple or all elements, so the rainbow damage usually isn't high enough to pierce through. Water's good, albeit generic. I honestly don't know about melee, it's kinda weird for me. Fatal's good, though. Huge potential damage output.

 

Previously you'd have been right about that, but thanks to some much needed balance changes, elemental damage is more effective against Qira (300 rainbow defs for all forms). This means you can pierce and do damage more easily. Freedom, Sing, Nulli, and Collapse users rejoice! All the damage!

Raindow + water = rainbow... Rainbow implies some water damage lolololol. Melee + Rainbow is an interesting choice, but not something I hear of often. Melee fatal is fine, but you can't do all of these things in a single build. That just won't happen, plain and simple. Too many requests. When class building, remember: You're also trying to focus and optimize your builds. Each build you make should be, to some degree, unique from another. It sounds like you want a rainbow hybrid (spell and melee), no mythic, no li.

Cascade, Infused Hive Wand, or Compiler might work. If you want full rainbow, do cascade. If you're okay with less than 5 elements, then the other 2 might be better. I'm not good with powdering for rainbow builds, but I can get the best items for the job within your requi's. Can't build right now, but I hope I could answer a few questions ;)

 

Thanks, but I think you didnt understand me. I didnt meant to combine everything, my question was what build is better. For example a nepta or a cascade and which is better for what? So, should I make a water, rainbow or a melee build and why? :)

 

well fatal is probably better because im pretty sure it has the most damages of any wand, but its a mythic and expensive as hell

water is pretty much spell spam and healing

melee is tier stacking

rainbow is a cheaper option, but very generalized, and not overly good at anything
