I Have An Issue

Not sure where to put this thread, sorry, so I'll just be putting it here.

Earlier today, I went to open a loot chest, and while nothing happened, a message popped up saying, "You don't have permission for this area." I've hence forth, tried opening more chests, with similar results, and late found out that things like anvils, or fences and similar items also trigger the text. It's fairly annoying in the sense that I can't open any loot chests I find, and was wondering if there's any solution, or cause to what's going on.

This is caused by your weapon actually being a block, try opening a chest with your soul points or horse in hand.

 

I feel very disappointed with my problem solving skills right about now, thanks for clearing this up for me though!
