I Have A Problem

During my time playing recently, I have experienced a problem. Upon exiting the Pigman Ravine, I came upon a house with a man. He accused me of not completing a quest for him. This quest is called Deja Vu. I activated the quest and did what was asked. Upon finding the item he wanted I found I Could not retrieve the item. Deciding to just leave I wandered off and found myself trapped within the quest area. Upon returning to his house I found he wasn't there. Unable to collect the item and finish the mission, my level 24 Assassin is stuck and I cannot play as him. beforehand I had been gathering a large amount of copper and found that every copper ore I mined was failing to refine and would show me the X, which was odd as I was over level 25 in Mining. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any way to save my character?

 

If you do not want to complete the quest you can /kill to respawn at the cost of 2 soul points and as for your ore failing to refine may be because your pick is at 0 durability you can repair it at the blacksmith using scrap.

 

Thank you, I had not thought to /kill, and yes that was the issue with my pick, I had no clue that picks had durability, as i had not mined enough with my tier 1 pick before upgrading.

 

Did you hit the shovel? It’s not like a normal item that you just walk up to and pick up, you have to hit it to be able to pick it up

 

Yes I did, and I did use F3+B to check for the hitbox. The item is unresponsive to my character, though it seems other players don't experience this issue as the most recent time I attempted this, I saw others walking by and doing what appeared to be the quest just fine, however I am unsure as to whether they experienced the same or not
