I moderately like the feel of it, but throughout the pictures, I was hoping to get a better glimpse of the building/scene in general. The views you provided are rather immersed into the land, where all I can see is a lot of green. Providing a better view of the farmland and the building will allow them both to compliment each other.
I agree with kimjdav also. Custom trees will do it wonders. :)

May we have a more semi-birdseye view of it (if that makes sense)? I'd love to see what you have on display. :)

Got it. Will start practicing custom trees soonâ„¢.

I haven't built anything much so far, so that's why I'm using trees to hide my shame. Although I know what you're looking for, it's going to take time for me to come up with something that will compliment the buildings. I'll add more pictures as I progress. :)

the land itself is rather flat in my opinion.

I'd recommend trying your hand at some terraforming. Although it tends to be very time consuming

    Will do.
although technically before I started building all of those hills that you see in the pictures weren't there and I just placed random blocks everywhere to make it look like hills. :v

As much as shaders are/can be gorgeous, I think it's best to be without them when in a trial building stage. Shaders should only really be used at the final presentation as they can make it hard for an eye to judge the detail for feedback mode.

I like the roof etc but the depth isn't enough. I was expecting more and try making custom trees as said above.
Also if you're playing on 1.9 the caravan is to big use trapdoors for wheels (they dont need a base block anymore)

Ehhhh 67/100, I'd give you detailed tips, and I know I've said this in other threads but the build is in a way too early stage, before I can judge your terrain you have to make terrain, and I'd love to see a more broad view, I know this because I've made the same mistake before, as builders we like to take pictures of the best parts instead of the most content. I know it's been said before but make some custom trees, we can't help you get better at them unless you give us a starting point.

Added some minor stuff to the land. I felt like the forest-y kind of feel I was going for, didn't really match the plains feel. So I 'nerfed' it a bit, and to me it looks a bit cleaner now. Still working on custom trees and getting proportions right. However I think that 1.10's structure blocks are going to make things easier to do stuff, but I don't wanna risk getting a corrupted save. So I'm not sure how I'm going to do this...

Love the lanterns! The pond looks especially nice! If I should suggest anything, I'd say maybe have some trees that are larger than the others/raise the canopy =)

Working on trees now. A bit new to custom trees, so I need some tips and maybe more criticizing. Here's my first tree:

d'aw, that's a lil cutie. :3 For trees I'd recommend having a look at Grian's Youtube channel. He has a couple of good tree tutorials on there using voxel sniper. :) I've been messing around with it myself. xD The stuff is surprisingly fun, and ends up with a nice atmospheric result.
