I Can't Get Into The Gameworld

Here's what happened in order. 1. I rode down a river on a boat. 2. I reached an area of the river where it was just plain darkness. 3. I got stuck in it so i logged out. 4. I logged back in and went to got to a world 5. I clicked the thing to enter the world and it just closed the menu nothing else for a bit I thought it was lag but I tried again and again. Can someone please tell me how to solve this problem?

 

It probaly was lag, try switching Server!
