Hunted Mode Broken?

hey, i recently unlocked hunted mode together with a friend of mine. (we are in the same guild)

we created new accounts with the hunted mode gamemode.
but after completing the tutorial and trying it out, we couldn't hit eachother...

we already tried unfriending, but that didn't seem to work.
we haven't tried going out of the same guild, but i'm not sure if that matters...

is this an error with the hunted gamemode, or could it be that we're in the same guild?

 

might be guild, are you in a party?

 

You cannot attack people within the same guild or party as you, and you cannot attack mutual friends either.

 

You might be in a safe area. Go to the Emerald Trail and try to attack each other.
