How Would You Feel If A Quest Had Dialogue Where The Player Talked?

    How would you feel if a quest had dialogue where the player talked?

    It would feel jarring. Wynncraft's 'protagonist' is silent because they aren't actually a character, just an empty vessel for the player. Wynn makes no pretentions otherwise. The dialogue wouldn't be that interesting, seeing as every conceivable person would need to be able to project themselves onto it. Plus, the game isn't voice acted, so it's not as if our lack of lines is conspicuous. There's no hole here that needs to be patched.

    Propably not that good.
    There are many jokes about us being silent.
    Also how do you know I would say (for example) "Yes sir, I will paint the mountain!" and not "wtf bignose are you insane or what? Ok, I will do it, but only for the money"? The story is too loose for it to be good.

    I like this as an idea, but I think that one of the unique parts of Wynncraft is that there is no player dialogue.
    This lets the player be themself and tries to not put everyone into the same player.

    Personally I feel like Wynn has done a terrific job making your responses either neutral or silent. For example you never present your opinion and instead only tell information to others, and other times you just stay silent like on the Seaskipper.
